It is only 2nd day and am I already getting bored?????
Let me tell you why this is happening: because I keep buying same color combinations. This is what happens when you keep buying without actually using your already purchased makeup.
I was going over some palettes to combine whit this one. I came across bunch of ABH palettes that were barely touched: Sad man SADDDDDD!!!
Let's salvage the situation, shall we?
TaTaaaaaa.....
List of Shadows used:
- MAC Cosmetics Malt (Crease)
- MAC Cosmetics Haux (Crease)
- The Masquerade By Juvia's Zobo (Crease)
- The Masquerade By Juvia's Calabar (Lid)
- Natasha Denona Safari Palette Voodo (Outer Crease)
Liner is: Maybelline Liner in Blackest Black topped with Inglot AMC pure pigment in 87 (matte black). This liner combination is a pain in the butt. Fallouts are terrible to deal with and Maybelline liner is pathetic on its own.
I rate this look mediocre for two reasons:
1. I had to go over the liner with a matte black pigment. It smudged to my crease and made this eye makeup look poorly blended.
2. Natasha Denona Safari Palette mattes are very creamy. Too creamy in fact. The shade Voodoo did not blend well with Sigma E36. This blending brush was too precise for this type of formulation. It applied it almost like a liner. I could not blend the harsh line look afterwards because the product was too creamy and literally adhered on top of powder products.
In summary, I remember the color Calabar was my first sight love in this palette. It is beautiful but it was not as jewel toned like Casablanca. Still very good color payoff and lasting performance but it was satiny not jewel toned metalic.
Star color of the day was the ZOBO from the palette. It looks like a fushia within those purples, but pulled more berry tones and almost gave me ABH Love Letter vibes. I am going to focus on this color more.
Until tomorrow.....Bye!!!
