I realize I have been missing a lot. You should never say never when it comes to color; you may be overlooking a color that may be your perfect match. The scariest and the craziest color, by my norms, in this palette have become my obsession within the last week. It is the Color KOH TAO. I loved it so much, I looked up the meaning. Apparently, it is an island and when you see the pictures, you understand where the inspiration is coming from.
Different versions of it are not new to the market; MAC has a pigment called Hi-Def Cyan. They have had it since before I start watching Youtube so well over 10 years now. I am not gonna get bananas and buy everything this color but time to dissect from earthy earthy tones and explore a bit of flamboyant. Worst case I will call it a dramatic eyeliner day.
I hope you enjoy this one. It has been my favorite so far. While editing this video, I was almost gonna score another palette of hers but Noo Sir. I barely touched half of the palette and the green brown palette cursing at my face every morning.
Ok, Myself presents.... See you with a new look next time.
on this project of mine; I decided to use each and every shade in my Natasha Denona Blue Pruple Palette. I am not saying use up, I am saying use just for "once". Given that how much I wanted it and how much I paid for it, I assumed this would be the only thing I want to use till the rest of my life. Believe sunny, It is all wonderful but simply put "too much". I get great pleasure looking at it but it is overwhelming. I realize I do not want to use this many metallic shades all the time and I am kind of a MAC girl at hearth I guess; Sorry "Hearth wants what it wants". I prefer blown out smokey looks.
If Natasha Denona Palettes were coming with a significant range of mattes, I would be in line. I purchased the Safari Palette right away but those mattes turned out to be editorial ones as well. So I am a little bit tired from this much metallic and vibrant tones at this time. I want to go back to my good old MAC ones and put my self in rehab with mediocre, error free pigmentation.
For today's look, we are clinging to mattes. It is a colorful look but I enjoyed it. Teal and blue is such a energizing combination and goes great with casual jeans and t shirt attire.
Also, I come across 3 shades in the blue purple palette that are very similar in terms of formulation to Safari Palette mattes: steel blue, powder blue, and smoke apply exactly the same as the mattes in the safari palette. They are creamy, vibrant, and opaque. However, blending them is is very different and something I am not super confidant just yet.
I think I still have half of the palette to go. I have one more look lined up but I am losing my enthusiasm little bit. The great part is these eye shadows can easy be removed from the pan. This can make it easier to combine them with other mattes. I will try.
Mineral makeup used to be dull: I mean "why even bother putting it on". For a split second I got overwhelmed by main stream brands and found myself in indie town. Guess what? There is a new sheriff in town: Concrete Minerals.
Indie brands have amazing products in every category; In fact, they are the trendsetters. This brand has been in the market quite sometime now and for all the good reasons. Their Electric Eye Primer is amazing and I don't want to shut up about it. It works like a dream with all sorts of eye shadows and it is going to have it's dedicated video pretty soon. In summary, you have to have it if you use any type of shimmer or metallic eye shadows. Natasha Denona should sell this products together with hers. I mean this has to be a prerequisite to buy one of her products. I told you I do not shut up about it.
Now to the eye shadows. I first saw the application of these by BIOHAZARDOUS BEAUTY
She is an amazing youtuber and have a closet full of indie eye shadows. She is the eye model for this brand and has a discount code TORI20
I loved her looks with these eye shadows and wanted to try right away.
Well, they are different for me. Mineral makeup is a whole new concept to me. The first time I used these eye shadow, I was almost disappointed. However, they grow on me the very first time I wear them. These eyeshadows look incredible in broad day light. They are not obnoxiously metallic but they show their true potential when mixed with the oils on your skin. During application, you may not think highly of them but check your makeup in 15 min, in an hour or 2 and they will put a smile on your face. So, the wear of makeup is very different with mineral eye shadows. The more you carry them, the better they get. Also, it does not feel like you are wearing makeup. They are weightless. I know it is funny to say this. How much an eye shadow can weigh. But you will really feel it if you are using very emollient metallic shades.
I am still mesmerized by my Inglot AMC pigments but they sit in a drawer while I use my Concrete Mineral eyeshadows daily. I really want to try their matte formulation. It is going to happen soon. I am still experimenting with these eyeshadows and more looks will follow.
