Digging into Mineral Makeup-- As promised the video

Digging Into Mineral Makeup

Where did it all come from?   Well from boredom of emollient metallic explosion.  UUHHHH, so pigmented!!!!!

Give me a break, ok!

I mean I love them but I am growing older at the same time.  Honestly, most of the time they feel so much and not matching with rest of my assemble.

However, mineral makeup feels fab throughout the day.  They are a bit underwhelming when you first put it on especially if you are a Colorpop or Juvias Place kind a girl.  But they feel so elegant and they get better and better throughout the day.

Below is the beginning of my experiment with mineral eye shadows.

It looks mediocre but the picture is not doing justice believe me.  I did a video with this look.  I hope it is going to  make a better impression once I upload.  It is happening soon.  All I need is a quiet time for a voice over.

I am loving these type of looks.  They feel like modern Bridget Bardot.  If everything goes as planned, I am having a son in 8 days.  I am so excited because right after that, I am going to get my hair done.

Here are the details for the eye makeup:
  • Concrete Minerals Graveyard on the lid and under lower lash (the taupe goodness)
  • Concrete Minerals Los Angelitos in the inner corner and in the lower lash line
  • Shu Uemura M 851, 850, and M 895 build in the crease in order
Unfortunately, the Shu Uemura shadows I used are very cool toned mattes and they did not blend well over Concrete Minerals primer.  I am trying to find pressed matte eye shadows in my collection that will work awesome with this primer. Next time I shop from this brand, I will try their loose matte formulations.  I am on a mission.

Please recommend to me if you have experience with amazing mineral shadows.

THE MASQUERADE BY JUVIA'S FOR A MONTH; PROJECT FINALE: WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT MY MAKEUP HABITS

I must admit; pregnancy gets harder as it gets closer.  It may seem like I lacked major updates here but within the last week or so, I barely do anything different with my makeup.  I either wear the same look or I hate my face.  I do not know where it is coming from but I am not sleeping well, most of the time I can only sleep like three hours tops. My mind is almost taken over with fear.  What if sth is wrong with the baby, why it is not moving, he does not have a name yet, blah, blah, blah.... Last 12 days to my c section and I am freaking out.

Even tough makeup is a safe escape for me, most days I felt like removing it as soon as I put it on.  I know this is not very motivational piece of writing for a Project Finale but I can not help it.  Hopefully, around Christmas Time I will have a healthy boy on my lap and everything will be back to normal.  Anyways, lets wrap this up.

I learned a ton about myself, so that is a good thing.  In fact, there were good reasons for lack of attention to this palette.

  • The colors are too repetitive.  I know they all look different but when you use it continuously, they all feel like same.  My looks were either coming out too orange or too purple.
  • I learned that too colorful palettes are not for me.  I need a balance between light transitions, pop of colors, and intensifier shades.
  • Huge ass palettes are a hard pass.  Do not even think about it. You do not pay attention and you dig your fingers and nails and ruin them.
  • Jewel tones; you do not ever use them. Stop buying them just to look at them.
  • No matter how much you love the colors and the quality, after a while you will get bored to hell with it.  Make sure the pans are removable. This should be actually number one condition but I am still sucked in to packaging.  I do not feel ready for this yet.  I am not strong enough.

I was thinking bout picking up a new palette.  But I am due real soon.  I do not wanna feel bad about no being able to put updates.  But I will see.  I think next, I will pick an ABH palette.  I have couple, I barely touched.  They are small, great formulation, and well balanced in therms of color combinations.  So what is my problem with those?  I am curious.
